OppasStudent 2 years old!
Tuesday 15 November 2011Last Saturday, OppasStudent became two years old! This we celebrate with great news: We are developing an OppasStudentCard which offers all our students special discounts on fun things to do with children while babysitting. More info here.

3 questions to … Our new colleague Mathijs (26)
Friday 21 October 2011A month ago, Mathijs joined us. He will focus on the business section of OppasStudent and the development of new ideas.
What is your background?
I have a Master’s Degree New Media at the University of Amsterdam. During my studies I was concerned with services and activities for students. I have been vice president of the student union ASVA. I’ve seen how important student initiatives such as OppasStudent and PoetsStudent are for students.
How did you become part of OppasStudent?
Through Anne, we both chaired by the same study association. After my studies I wanted to start for myself and Anne and Lotte were looking for someone to join their team. I’ve been following OppasStudent from the sidelines the last years, and I really like to join the team.
What will you focus on?
Together with Anne and Lotte I’m working on developing new ideas to improve the services of OppasStudent and PoetsStudent. We’ve just moved to our new office, we want to offer services in multiple cities, create learning places for students and partner with other companies.
