Are you looking for a friendly permanent or flexible babysitter? Sign up at OppasStudent!
How does it work?
- Parents sign up by using the registration form.
- When we have found a suitable match we will e-mail the profile of the student requesting an introduction.
- If agreed upon we will mail the contact details of the student to the parents, so you can plan an introduction with the student.
- After the initial introduction the parents have to confirm if it is a match. If this is not the case we will search again for a new student with no added costs.
- When the permanent babysitter isn’t available on a specific date, you can request a replacement sitter for this date(s).

Fees
The rate consists of two parts: (1) monthly membership and (2) costs per mediation.

* For a specific date when you permanent babysitter is not available (per day).

Area
We work in Amsterdam, Utrecht and surroundings (see coloured parts of maps for the exact area). Most students live within the this area, so it’s more work for us to find a babysitter outside the area. Thats why we ask for a additional fee.
Babysitter Rate

* Students get paid in cash by the parents on the same day of the sitting, unless otherwise agreed upon.
* In some cases we suggest a higer rate for the babysitter, for example when the family lives outside of the Amsterdam bypass or it’s about very early in the morning.
What do you pay for?
The amount you pay is a compensation for costs that are made. The fee for membership € 5,50 per month. In addition we charge a fee for each mediation. This is a compensation for the time we spend on the introductory meetings with students, making the right match and guarantee a new babysitter student within three months if necessary. When you have a request for several days a week the mediation fee is higher, because it is more work for us.
Unsubscription
It is possible to unsubscribe one year after registration. If you decide later to subscribe again, the terms of a new registration will be applied (registration period of one year). You can unsubscribe on the ‘unsubscription’ page.
Criteria Babysitters
Our students all follow college- or university educations and live in Amsterdam, Utrechts or its surroundings. With all the students who register with us we hold a personal screening and introduction interview. What we look for is babysitting experience, a strong sense of responsibility, initiative, understanding, a flexible attitude and creativity. We hold a copy of all our student’s identification documents.
Network
All our students together form one single network, that already consists of over 400 students. After signing up parents can make use of this network to find a new babysitter or a replacement when the permanent babysitter is unavailable. Because of our large network we’re able to find a suitable babysitter in 99% of the cases.
